      • 06.06.1926 - Founding of the Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home in Vellikkilamai Madam, Vannarpannai,Jaffna. 
      • 26.11.1929 - The Home was shifted to Kallady - Uppodai
      • 12.05.1932 - The Home moved to its own building
      • 30.05.1932 - Br. Avyakta Chaitanya (later Swami Kutasthanandaji) who was in charge of the Home left for India.
      •         1932 - Swami Paripurnananda took the wardenship from Br. Avyakta Chaitanya
      •         1932 - Swami Sundarananda was appointed Manager and Warden.
      •         1933 - Latter part of 1933, Swami Vipulanandaji assumes duties as Manager.
      • 03.01.1934 - Visit of His Holiness Srimat Swami Bigyananandaji Maharaj
      •         1935 - Residential section for paying students was started at Shivananda Vidyalaya
      •         1936 - Centenary of the Birth  of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna
      • 31.01.1937 - A Home for Girls was opened at Karaitivu
      •   Mid 1937 - Swamis Vipulananda and Kedareswarananda went on a pilgrimage to Maount Kailash
      • Aug.   1939 - Swami Nishkamananda succeeds Swami Vipulananda as Manager and Warden.
      • Sept.  1939 - Swami Vipulananda went to Mayavati as Editor of Prabuddha Bharatha
      • May    1940 - Srimat Swami Madhavanandaji Maharaj visited Batticaloa.
      •           1941 - Acharya Mandir (residence of the Principal of Shivananda Vidhyalaya) was built.
      •           1942 - Swami Ritajananda succeeds Swami Nishkamananda as Manager and Warden. Br. Nirveda Chaitanya (Swami Natarajananda) was posted to Batticaloa Centre to assist the Swami.
      • 10.02.1947 - Swami Ranganathanandaji visited Batticaloa.
      • 19.07.1947 - Swami Vipulanandaji passed away.
      • 18.09.1948 - Foundation for Vipulananda Memorial Hall was laid by Shri T.S. Avinasilingam.
      • 16.11.1950 - Swami Gambhiranandaji and four other Swamis visited the Centre.
      • 09.05.1951 - Sri Sarada Girls’ Home, Anaipanthy was opened.
      • 05.07.1951 - Swami Vireswaranandaji visited Batticaloa.
      • 12.11.1951 - Swami Asangananda succeeds Swami Siddhatmananda.
  • July   1952 - Swami Sarvatitananda was posted as worker
        • 27.04.1953 - Swami Natarajananda left for India and was succeeded by Swami Kutasthananda.
        • 09.08.1954 - Again Swami Natarajananda succeeds Swami Kutasthananda.
        • 05.09.1954 - Swami Prematmanandaji succeeds Swami Asangananda as Vive-President, Ramakrishna Mission (Ceylon Branch) .

        • Dec.   1954  - Year long celebrations  of Holy Mother’s Birth Centenary
        • Mid    1956 - Swami Avyayananda came to Batticaloa to assist the Swami.
        • July   1957 - Swami Sarvatitananda was transferred to Kataragama.
        • Dec.   1957 - Flood havoc in Batticaloa District
        • May    1958 - Ethnic violence.
        • Oct.   1960 - Mission Schools take-over by the State.
        • Sept.  1962 - Shivananda Vidyalaya Hostel taken over by the State
        • June   1963 - Birth Centenary of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Ranganathanandaji was the Chief Guest.
        • 06.09. 1963 - Opening of Vipulananda Memorial Hall.
        • Sept.  1963 - Sunday School to impart Hinduism to school-going children was started.
        • Aug.   1965 - Swami Kutasthananda passed away.
        • 17.03. 1966 - Swami Jivanananda was posted to Batticaloa.
        • 17.03. 1967 - Swami Jivanananda becomes Manager of the Batticaloa Centre.
        • May    1967 - Rugam Farm Land was handed over to the Mission.
        • 10.05. 1968 - His Holiness Srimat Swami Virewswaranandaji Maharaj visited Batticaloa and laid the foundation for the Boys’ Home and Ashrama.
        • 27.05.1972 - Swami Prematmananda opened the Boys’ Home.
        • 06.06.1976 - Golden Jubilee Year Commemoration, Colombo.
        • 07.08.1977 - Swami Tapasyanandaji released the Golden Jubilee Souvenir in Colombo.
        • 23.11.1978 - Fury of the cyclone
        • 28.10.1979 --Swami Sarvatitananda passes away.
        • 21.09.1980 - Golden Jubilee Commemoration, Colombo.
        • 30.09.1980 - His Holiness Srimat Swami Bhuteshanandaji Maharaj visits Batticaloa.
        • 02.09.1982 - Foundation for the Sri Sarada Girls’Home, Ramakrishnapuram, laid.
        • 03.06.1985 - Opening of the new building of the Sri Sarada Girls’ Home by Swami Prematmananda.
        • 30.06.1988 - Swamis Rajeswarananda and Ajaratmananda posted as workers
        • 07.04.1990 - Swami Prematmanandaji passes way.
        • 19.05.1990 - Swami Samprajnananda  passes away.
        • 01.06.1990 - Swami Rajeswarananda acted for Swami Jivanananda in Batticaloa.
        • 01.07.1990 - Swami Jivanananda succeeds Swami Samprajnananda as Swami-in-Charge as Vice-President, Ramakrishna Mission (Ceylon Branch).
        • 01.06.1991 - Swami Atmaghananandaji succeeds Swami Jivanananda as Vice-President,Ramakrishna Mission (Ceylon Branch).
        • 16.01.1992 - Swami Gahananandaji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, visited Batticaloa.
        • 30.03.1992 - Swami Smarananandaji, Trustee, Ramakrishna  Math and Member of the Governing Body of the Ramakrishna  Mission, visited Batticaloa.
  • 23.12.1992 - Swami Ajaratmanandaji posted to the  Batticaloa Centre
        • 23.01.1993 - Formation of a Committee to commemorate the Centenary of the Chicago Address.
        • 02.12.1993 - Swami Prabhanandaji, Trustee, Ramakrishna Math and Member of the Governing Body of the Ramakrishna Mission, visited Batticaloa.
        • 03.12.1993 - Swami Prabhanandaji opens the Cultural Centre at Sarada Girls’ Home.
        • 26.05.1994 - Swami Atmasthanandaji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, visited Batticaloa.
        • 27.05.1994 - The new building of the Karaitivu Girls’ Home was opened.
        • 08.09.1994 - Swami Sridharananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Lucknow, visited Batticaloa.
        • 14.10.1995 - Swami Gautamananda, President, Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore, Chennai, visited Batticaloa.
        • 01.10.1996 - Swami Gokulananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, visited Batticaloa.
        • 01.11.1996 - Foundation for the Vivekanandapuram Housing Scheme was laid by Swami Jivanananda.
        • 01.12.1996 - Swami Kamalatmananda visited Batticaloa.
        • 15.01.1997 - Release of postage stamp as part of the Chicago Address Centenary Celebrations
        • 01.05.1997 - Centenary celebrations of the founding of the Ramakrishna Mission.
        • 23.05. 1997 - Sri Pe.Su. Mani’s Book on Ramakrishna Movement in Sri Lanka was released.
        • 01.09.1997 - Swami Tanmayananda visited Batticaloa.
