A Short Report for the Period 1.4.2000 to 31. 3. 2001

1. This Sub –Centre conducted religious and cultural activities apart from running three Orphanages, one for Boys (86) and two for Girls (130) totaling 216 inmates.

2. Runs a Sunday School where 426 children (233 boys &193 girls) were instructed by 19 volunteer Teacher.

3. Maintained a temple for the lepers at the Manthivu Leper Asylum. Regular puja and festivals are organised for the welfare of the inmates and the villagers in the vicinity.

4. Relief and Welfare work in the form of stationery, financial assistance to very deserving students, clothing material and building material to the tune of Rs. 261,588/-  was engaged in.

5. Two Nursery Schools (one for the children of conservancy labourers) are run. A total of 134 children with 6 Teachers are on roll.

6. The resident Swamis visited Schools and other institutions to take part in several religio-cultural activities.

7. With active local participation the Jayanthis of the Holy Trio were observed with due solemnity.
